In My Happy Place

The Process of a Breakthrough

Truly you would never, ever begin to imagine what I have been through in the last few months of the year 2021! What a challenging year thus far, BUT GOD! From health challenges, hospital admissions for infections, sick days in bed, not being able to do what I desire to do and be able to live my life as I desire and as God would have me to. It was tiresome and some days I got tired of dealing what I was dealing with. Not to mention the issues I was dealing with concerning my stomach, oh my God in the last few months 95% of the time that was the main issue that I would have that would cause me to not feel well. Being in pain and dealing with it for 1 to 2 hours, or maybe a day or two maybe easy to bare. Grant it, going through pain is not easy, it’s not fun (I know because I have been through it, experienced it and currently experiencing it now. Having to go through and experience of the pain of a tube going back in forth in my stomach, causing pain. I was not able to move, exercise, walk or do any of my daily activities properly because I was in so much pain. This pain lasted for a total of 9 months. I held on as long as I could, never complained about being in pain. I may went to the emergency room to get checked out and to get medicine that would make me feel better, but I never in that timeframe thought about giving up.

To make a long story short, God made the necessary connections and did what was necessary to make sure that I would go in the process of not being in pain anymore. I had my mind focused on school as I would start at ECU (East Carolina University) in a short amount of days! I had not time to be going back and forth to the bathroom, running back and forth to the hospital (although the hospital was right down the road from where I attend college) to get checked out for having this pain! I endured this pain for 9 months! 9 MONTHS! I felt as if I was the woman with the issue of blood! It was that serious!

Overview of My First Day

On Monday I began my journey in finishing my teaching degree at ECU(East Carolina University) I started looking at the course work and syllabus’ for the classes that were allowing me to view their work! It was such a joy, I felt the adrenaline rush going through my veins as I was checking out the courses. Just the thought that I was able to go back to school to get that real college experience that I so desired months ago earlier in this year, and God brought it pass! I did a little work in some of the courses to kind of work a head. Today was my first day attending my face to face classes on campus! I felt so great! I was happy, excited, YOU NAME IT! I had a close family friend walk with me to class to make sure I was getting where i need to be being that her class was not too far from mine. Got to my biology class and was not prepared to see SO MANY STUDENTS! There was 250 students total in my biology class, I had a great time in that class mingling with my neighbor! Thank God that there was that many people because that ruled out ICE BREAKERS (teachers and instructors love to do these) I am not a fan of those LOL! I went to the remaining two of my classes and in my 1:00 o’clock class I got in the classroom to find out that I AM THE ONLY BOY IN THE CLASS! I was shocked, I did not feel right, I was like OH MY GOD! ARE YOU SERIOUS! Where are the boys at in this classroom??? But over all the class was good, and my last one as well.

My happy place begins

Today was excellent, I can truly say I am more happy and excited about my life and what God is doing in my life than I ever have been before! Deciding to accept the offer and continue the process to be a student at ECU was the best decision I ever made. For 7 years I wanted to go to school (I shared this with you all on my last post) 7 YEARS! God did it, and I am forever thankful! Yes there may be times where I may have my down days, or sick days, but I am really excited about my degree and where I am obtaining my degree! There is nothing can stop me! Sickness can not hold me down! It May try but it will not succeed, because no weapon formed against ANTHONY RAY GARDNER, JR. shall prosper!

THANK YOU LORD FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE IN MY HAPPY PLACE IN YOU!
