Knowing Your Calling (Copy)

Happy Wednesday

We all come into this world with different aspects, different ideas, different looks, etc. But at the end of the day we serve the same God. There are things that we still do not understand in this life, but one thing is for sure is that God will take care of YOU. God will lead you to where He would have you to be. It may not be where you think you should be, but God knows what is best for You. He is your guide.

Last week I went to a Christian Book store to buy my 1st bible. It was such an exciting experience. As I begin to look there was a particular bible that I was looking for, but the price was a bit outside of my budget and price range. The clerk guided and assisted me with the bible that she suggested would be a good fit for me. We began to look through the bible and skimmed through the pages. I got excited (Never in my life had I gotten excited about reading or interacting with a bible). God knew exactly what I needed.

As I got home and begin to read through my bible, it allowed me to recognize my calling even more. No matter what I have faced, no matter who was against me, or may have rejected me I know who God has called me to be and the work that He has called me to do in this season of my life.

It brings me back to the text of 1 Samuel 15:10 when the Lord Rejects Saul from being king. “

1 Samuel 15:10-23 New International Version

Samuel 15:10 Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel: 11 “I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.” Samuel was angry, and he cried out to the Lord all that night.

Saul was denounced from being the King by the Lord. It was not Sauls calling to be King of Isreal. It is true that He beat the Amalekites and the Philistines but God had other plans. Samuel appoints David as King. God knew what David could withstand. He knew what David had within Him. Although David may have had a bad appearance it was what was inside David’s heart that mattered.

Some of you are in positions that you do not have the credentials to even qualify for the position that you have, but because God knows Your calling, He has bestowed his grace upon you. USE IT! Do not ABUSE IT! When you begin to know and take hold of your calling, you will begin to see God’s miraculous power come upon you. He has already granted you His Favor.

When I began to step out on faith two months ago in the realm of being a musician I began to see God move in my life. I did not know where I was going. I did not know what God was going to do in my life concerning this new opportunity but as they say, God knows my end before my beginning. Because of me recognizing my calling I am where I am today and it is because of His grace that I am here today! The spirit of the Lord has moved ever since the 1st day that I stepped foot in my position and the favor of God has just been working all in my new church. So I encourage you to keep on. Continue to stay in your word (This is where you will be able to grow and allow your faith to be extended). Not following the calling that God has assigned to you has some consequences to it, and the number one thing is, it can block and hold up the blessings that you were suppose to be have. If I would have stayed where I was, I would not be able to grow, I would not have been able seek God’s kingdom even more concerning my music and ministry. I would not be able to have the support shown to me that I have been shown since I have been at the place that I am.
